A good start for your card

A few simple steps to connect your business and make your card easy for customers to use.

Activate a new card

  1. 1. Tap or scan your card

Hold the card near the NFC reader on your phone, or scan its QR code with your camera. Open the link that appears. Start from the physical card so we can identify it.

  2. 2. Connect your business

Sign in or create an account. Choose an existing business, find your location on Google Maps, or paste your Google review link.

  3. 3. Test the link, then activate

Open the test link and check that it shows the right business on Google. Return to TapCheers and confirm activation. Your card is ready to use.

Give your card a good spot

Place it beside the register, on a table, or wherever you say goodbye to customers. Keep the QR code visible and invite everyone to share an honest review.

A little help

My phone doesn’t detect the card

Wake and unlock your phone, then hold it close to the card for a moment. The NFC reader’s position varies by phone. If nothing happens, open your camera and scan the card’s QR code instead.

Where do I find my Google review link?

In your Google Business Profile, look for the option to ask for reviews and copy the review link. You can paste it during setup, or use the Google Maps search to find your business.

What counts as a scan?

A scan is a visit through an active card’s link, whether someone taps the card, scans its QR code, or opens its URL. Your own test visits count too. A scan does not confirm that someone submitted a Google review.

What happens when I deactivate a card?

Customers will see a card-unavailable message instead of being sent to Google. You can reactivate the card in Card settings. If an administrator disabled it, contact your pilot organiser.
